It is understood that the economy is based on a survival of the fittest scale. Only the strong survive in this day and age. Many are also aware of the fact that in order to stay in business and be "successful" great amounts of money are required, but does that just mean $245 billion in annual sales a year? I strongly believe that in order to achieve success, it is not just a numerical aspect. It is how the owner, or company goes about achieving it. Certainly, you provide cheap prices on your inventory in various items from electronics, to furniture, to food and produce, to fabrics and linens, but stop thinking about yourselves, and realize you are robbing every small business that specializes in selling these items. Think about their families, and the decline of that particular business. Aside from Wal-Mart, everything is expensive nowdays whether it's a college education for your children to gas. Wal-mart doesn't provide everything. It offers a vast selection, but doesn't provide everything for "always lowest prices." Give specialty businesses back their earnings, so that they can make a good living without struggle. Give them back their competition as well. Also, if you are the richest retail in the world, then can't you pay your employees a little more? "Young women in Bangladesh are forced to work 14-hour days for a petty 13 cents an hour. If Wal-Mart would pay them 20 more cents per garment, they could climb out of misery." Think about it, and take action.
