To Those Who are Anti-Wal-Mart,

I think Wal-Mart is one of the greatest things to happen to America. The number of low-income families in America is mind-boggling. Wal-Mart is a place where there is everything imaginable for low prices, and it is convenient. Families do not have to run all over town, to different stores for different items. Everything imaginable is under the same room. In addition, it is good gas mileage, because it just takes one trip. I know being a college student, we are all pretty much in the same boat, and Wal-Mart is just the place for students, families, etc. Living in the dorms, freshman are not allowed to have cars, unless they obtain 24 credits, so that is impossible without summer session. So with the Loop, a student can easily go to a store to find everything they need in one visit for just a dollar. Wal-Mart is very clever and up to date with technology. By simply scanning a barcode, management and employees are able to see just exactly what is needed in the store to restock, and this process can easily be done over night. It also shows different information on the product from sales to who buys it. Also, there is high volume and fast turnover rate. The system is extremely efficient and effective. The company is not stupid, as adults, we fend for ourselves to make an income. Wal-Mart just does that, it is a business, we love to make profit. By selling to the consumer in a cheaper manner than other companies, we benefit. It is a trick of the trade, I am all for it. I love Wal-Mart and props to the founders.
